It is time to de-clutter. And it all can be done in one hour flat.
Raid That Wardrobe
00:00 to 05:00
Take a good look at everything in your wardrobe. Everything that you haven't used in the past six months has to go… with the exception of wedding outfits and seasonal wear. It is also okay to keep one or two items of sentimental value. But remember, just one or two.
| Go Modular in the Wardrobe tells you how to arrange your wardrobe. |
File Those Papers
05:00 to 10:00
When it comes to bills and other important paperwork, you really don't have the option of throwing them away.
So file away the bills neatly. Use colour-coded dividers to separate phone bills from electricity bills and so on.
Give Away Old Stuff
10:00 to 20:00
If you have kids, you will need to de-clutter every few months. Kids tend to outgrow everything… from clothes to shoes and books to toys.
Don't start piling up unwanted things in the corner of the room. It will only add to the clutter. Get a huge carton instead and stack up everything in it. You might want to separate clothes from books and toys. Now all you have to do is give it away.
And for all those toys that he still plays with, get a couple of colourful plastic crates. They look attractive and your kid can put away his own toys.
