GETTING the junta over for a wine-n-dine soiree? Here’s what you need to know.
Choose the right wine. While you can select the brand of your choiceglass, consider that the wine should be paired well with the cuisine.
Be it an Indian palate, Italian or Chinese remember the mantra of red for red and white for white. Par example red wine for red gravy / meat and white wine for Italian white-sauced based dishes, seafood etc.
Though you don’t have to adhere to this, ensure that the wine and cuisine flavours compliment and not overpower each other.
Serve using the right glass: Beer mugs for beer, mugs for coffee and wine glasses for wine. Use the goblet with a base, stem and bowl without fancy designs or texture.
A simple glass helps check the clarity and appearance of the wine. Bigger bowl for red wine and tulip glasses for sparkling wine.
