Your Drink Could be Spiked

Ouch, your head hurts and every muscle in your body aches. You want to go home and you leave. Suddenly a passer-by offers you his jacket and you blindly accept. The next thing you know, you are at the local police station with nothing but that jacket protecting your modesty.
They are asking you questions, questions you have no answers to. Your body feels sore. All you remember is that you were at a party sipping a Cola and then everything is a blank…
Could it be possible that you were date raped?

Could it be possible that you were date raped?
It could be someone you have met for the first time or even, a friend or boyfriend you are familiar and comfortable with. Remember, a rapist does not have a set profile or a particular look. He could be a regular offender or even the guy down the street.
Any kind of forced sexual activity is rape. It can happen to anyone, anywhere. An exciting night out can turn into a traumatic nightmare.
Drug Disaster
You don't have to be on drugs to be administered a couple of rounds. Most date rape drugs are prescription medication but are available freely over-the-counter.
These drugs induce sleep, rendering victims physically helpless and unable to resist sexual exploitation. The following morning the woman usually remembers nothing.
Unless intentionally looked for, these drugs go undetected in any routine toxicology or blood test.
Here are some commonly used drugs that signal the beginning of the end of that party:
Ketamine Hydrochloride takes effects 30-60 minutes after ingestion. Its effects last for 60 minutes.
You feel drowsy, have hallucinations, temporary amnesia and over relaxation of all muscles. If administered in large doses, this drug causes major respiratory disorders, amnesia, depression and high blood pressure.
Rohypnol kicks in 10 minutes after ingestion. Its effects last for 8-12 hours depending on the dosage.
You feel drowsy and drunk. Soon you lose control over your speech and movement. You gradually pass out. It also causes confusion, drunkenness, disorientation and loss of muscle control. It also causes temporary amnesia.
If administered in large doses it will cause liver failure, induce a coma and can even result in death.
This can be detected in your urine and blood tests for upto 72 hours after ingestion.
